New Faux Wood Cypress
We are proud to announce the introduction of a new product line called the Craftsmen Series. The Craftsmen Series is made up of rafter tails, corbels and soon to come ceiling panels.
The name Craftsmen depicts the true quality and design of this product line. The Craftsmen Series is made up of two different styles of products. The majority of these products have sharp clean edges with a fine distinctive cypress wood grain emulating throughout the piece.
Also available is a Florida inspired favorite called pecky cypress. Pecky cypress is becoming very popular throughout North America because of its unique appearance. Our pecky cypress line is molded from fallen trees often found at the bottom of rivers and in swamps. Strong pecky markings are seen running throughout the products. Typically the stronger the pecky, the older the wood. In some cases the pecky used can be dated back to the 1880’s when trees were axed by hand and floated to mills. Some logs would inevitably sink in transit, which allows us to harvest and create these beautiful architectural enhancements today.
The finishing techniques of the Craftsmen series are unique to the Superior Product Line. Unlike the majority of the Superior wood products, the Craftsmen series is painted and not stained. The paint used has a UV inhibitor and is designed for exterior use. The Craftsmen series is available in: Fall Brown, Yellow Sienna, Western Red, Snow White and of course, unfinished.
The Craftsmen’s Series can already be seen while strolling throughout Epcot in Orlando Florida, not to mention numerous buildings and homes. No matter the style or the desired look, the Superior Building Supplies line can change the look and feel of any structure. From faux wood ceiling beams to crown mouldings, the architectural enhancements are virtually limitless.
